Structure of a film opening

The three main structures to title sequences are:

• Discrete title sequences - These are separately edited sequences which stand apart from the film opening.
• Narrative title sequences - Narrative sequences are when both the images and the credits are evident and displayed together.
• Blank screen title sequence - This is when the credits are displayed on a blank screen with a soundtrack.
