Foley sounds

Foley Sound
Foley is reproduced sound effects which are added in post production to enhance the quality of audio for films, tv, etc. These sounds can be anything and range from footsteps to breaking glass. When foley sound is intergrated really well into a film it will go unnoticed by the audience. Without Foley sounds, films can be left feeling unnaturally quiet and uncomfortable. Foley sounds can also be used to cover up unwanted sounds captured on the set of a movie during filming, e.g, passing cars.
Below is a video showing some examples.
