Film openings

CRAVE
The film opening of Crave is discrete with titles running through. The setting and gory images indicate that this thriller film has a horror sub-genre. The non-diegetic music is eerie and really creeps the audience which hints the genre. The font style blends in with the dull dirty colours. The titles follow the order of the conventions of a title sequence and a few screen grabs of this are shown above.

I, ROBOT
The film opening of I, Robot is discrete/narrative with titles running through it. The opening starts off by showing the titles inter cut in the images, then parts of the narrative/film/plot is shown introducing the beginning of the film. The non-diegetic music is eerie and it uses sounds to suit the water surroundings. The titles follow the general conventional order of a title sequence and a few screenshots are shown above. The font style suits the title of the film and looks robotic and technical, which suggest an action sub-genre. The bright lights and close-up of the water suggests that the film possibly has some elements of sci-fi interest.
